Distance to Waypoint (DTW)

Distance to Waypoint indicates the distance between the vessel and a specific point or location known as a waypoint. The distance is given as the crow flies and does not consider navigational hazards or land that may be between the vessel and the waypoint. Distance to waypoint is typically given in nautical miles and can be used by navigators to track progress and adjust the course as necessary to reach the waypoint.
