Gaff

A gaff is a pole or spar with a hook or a spear at one end, typically used for handling or landing fish. It is commonly used in fishing to lift heavy fish out of the water or to control and manoeuvre them on a boat. Gaffs are also used in sailing to help raise and lower sails or to handle lines and ropes.
